My Story

The beginning…

Growing up I was always active and fit.  Throughout my childhood I was naturally small and being overweight was never a problem.  Going into college I was 145 pounds, had a six pack and in great shape overall.

Entering my Junior year the college lifestyle had caught with me.  In addition to attending school full-time, I began working 30+ hours a week.  I was constantly tired and the only exercise I got was an hour of basketball once a week with friends.  That all ended when I tore my ACL in a pickup game with my friends.  To add insult to injury, a month later I was diagnosed with a rare form of scarring scalp acne.    Unhappy with all the things going on in my life, I became depressed, ate bad and withdrew myself from reality.

The decision…

It wasn’t until I saw pictures of myself from a family reunion that I realized just how bad my health had gotten.  My weight had jumped from 145 to 165, I had a belly, and a “second chin” was beginning to develop.  Sick of what I had become, I decided to make the change and commit to P90X.

P90X…

I started my first round of P90X in January 2011.  I remember the first workout like yesterday, I wasn’t prepared for how difficult it was, and I really felt like quitting 15 minutes into it.  No matter how hard the workout was, or how much my mind kept saying “STOP!” I committed to the program for 90 days.

The Results…

After 90 days of hard work and dedication I was in th ebest shape of my life.  Family, friends, co-workers immediately noticed the difference, but most importantly I noticed the difference.  My energy was at an all time high, I was in the best physical condition of my life, and my confidence was at an all-time high.

Before/AfterCoaching…

Before P90X, not only was I insecure with my physical body, but I was insecure with the condition I developed on my scalp. After P90X, I have the confidence to accept the fact that I can’t change the problems on my scalp, but I can change how my body looks and feels.

There are many things you can’t control in your life, economy, weather, certain illnesses or conditions (my scalp for example), but you can control your physical health and how you feel about yourself.  If you want to lose weight, burn fat, improve your cardiovascular health, gain muscle, improve your overall fitness; I can help you with that.
